Lu lab' new discovery was selected as hot topic at Society for Neuroscience meeting, Chicago, 2019

A discovery by Lu lab was selected from 14,000 abstracts as a Hot Topic for press release at the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) meeting at Chicago, 2019.  SfN meetings gather thousands of neuroscientists from around the world to debut cutting-edge research on the brain and nervous system. It is one of the largest scientific conferences in the world. 

Dr. Lu was invited to speak and co-chair a symposium at Molecular Psychiatry Association meeting, San Francisco, 2019

Today is the big day! Being one of the most sucessful gradaute students, Adam received  his PhD degree with flying colors!

Our manuscipt has been accpeted to Molecular Psychiatry-Nature and will be featured in cover!

Molecular Psychiatry is a Nature journal. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal had an impact factor of 13.204 in 2016, ranking it fourth among 142 journals in the category "Psychiatry", 8th among 258 journals in the category "Neuroscience",and 7th among 286 journals in the category "Biochemistry & Molecular Biology". Our research also will be featured in cover. Lu lab members had a lunch gathering to celebrate the good news!

Shreveport joined the hundreds of other cities across the country Saturday with marches in support of science.

Award winner for Junior Science & Humanities Symposium and State Science and Engineering Fair

The SMART student working in our lab was selected as one of the top 5 award winners who will earn an expense-paid trip to compete nationally at the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force sponsored 55th National Junior Science & Humanities Symposium April 26-30, 2017, San Diego.

The SMART student also was placed the First in animal science category at 2017 Louisiana State Science and Engineering Fair. She will have the opportunity to compete in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)  at Los Angeles

Out of more than 15,000 posters,  Madison's was chosen as one of the only 90 dynamic presentation at Society for Neuroscience meeting  2016 (November 12-16, San Diego, CA).

Community Outreach-Sci-Port Day

Lu lab  members Adam, Madison, Mychal  sponsored BRAIN station during the Sci-Port Day for 8th graders from middle schools all over Caddo Parish. The kids cycled through station set up with fun, hands on activities designed to encourage their interest in science.
